Description
1. Fixture Removal & Water Line Prep
Safely disconnect and remove all plumbing fixtures (sinks, faucets, showerheads, tub spouts).
Cap all exposed water supply lines in preparation for new plumbing.
Remove all old valves and securely cap with SharkBite fittings or equivalent.
2. Vanity Removal
Detach vanity and countertop from wall, disconnect plumbing, and remove.
Prepare wall surface for new installation (patch/repair as needed).
Remove mirror and medicine cabinet if applicable.
3. Toilet Removal
Shut off water supply, disconnect, and remove toilet.
Cap drain line to prevent debris entry.
Remove toilet flange if being replaced.
4. Shower/Tub Area Demo
Remove shower doors, frames, and hardware.
Demo and remove bathtub and/or shower floor base.
Demolish shower/tub walls down to studs, including tile, cement board/drywall, and waterproofing.
Cap and protect all drain lines.
5. Wall & Ceiling Demo
Remove tile or wall coverings outside the shower area, if specified.
Remove any existing wallboard or drywall that will be replaced.
Demo ceiling finishes if required (e.g., popcorn removal or drywall replacement).
6. Flooring Demo
Remove existing bathroom floor tile or vinyl flooring.
Demo mortar bed or underlayment if necessary.
Prepare subfloor for new installation.
7. Electrical Fixtures & Prep
Remove light fixtures, exhaust fan, and switches as specified.
Cap all electrical wiring safely and label for reconnection.
Remove old outlet/switch covers and boxes if relocating.
8. Miscellaneous Demo
Remove towel bars, shelving, cabinetry, or other accessories.
Remove baseboards and trim as needed for remodel.
Disconnect and remove heating vents/registers if they interfere with renovation.
9. Site Protection & Cleanup
Protect adjacent rooms from dust/debris with plastic barriers.
Remove all debris from the site (dumpster or hauling service).
Sweep/vacuum work area and leave ready for rough plumbing, electrical, and framing.
